Ahh Bucket

Wednesday, April 17th, 2013

How do you dream – big, small, wide, tall? Does it matter? The best part of dreams is their yours… and this why we believe everyone must sit down one day and begin to create their bucket list.

In case you have been living under a rock, the term bucket list descends from the term ‘to kick the bucket.’ So yes, you guessed it the final frontier – death. So the bucket list is all the places you want to see and things you have to accomplish before you go. But you don’t need to consider this a morbid exercise. It’s about identifying your personal goals, drives and passions in life. What makes you want to live a fulfilled life and how the heck do you plan to get there!

I am sure you have a list already stored in the back corner of your mind – perhaps it is longer than you think. The only way to ever know is to get the pen to paper and start dreaming!

• Hot air balloon ride

• Running with the bulls

• Scuba Dive the Great Barrier Reef

• Sunrise over a snowy mountain

• Cannon ball off a cliff

Make your bucket list and keep it close to you heart, this is how all good things conceived by your mind become reality. {And never stop adding to ‘the bucket’ because that means you’re in it!}

SmartFares – A Smarter Way to Travel

Traveling on business seems soooo glamorous at first offer – Free Travel, time away from home!  But as soon as you begin to pack reality sets in.  Life out of a suitcase is much more appealing when your suitcase can be filled with bathing suites and sunblock.  The first hurdle in business travel is packing appropriately.  Dressing for work can be daunting enough when you have your full closet to work from.  Trying to get those same options into a single suitcase, and more often than not a carry on size suitcase, can be overwhelming.  A day of work finds you much more heavily dressed than a standard day of play, and for business men and women alike the standard suit really bulks up that bag.  So how do you make it work?  Packing light and looking right for everything and anything your business trip may require of you?  Here are a few tips we have gathered from our own experience and our trusted friends on the internet:

  1. Pack your best blacks – yes it may be boring, but New Yorkers and artists swear by it.  Wrinkles are less obvious, it’s easy to mix and match, and black attire can go from daytime to night without much fuss.
  2. Tuck & Roll – every wonder half way through packing where all the room went?  There is most certainly a method to the madness.  Get in there with Real Simple Magazine tips to fill every nook and cranny of that itty bitty roll-away!
  3. Combinations – stick to a common color scheme and in general pack 3 tops for every bottom – this will leave you with 3 outfits with 2 less articles of clothing, maybe outfits more if you can layer!

If you have any advice on how to keep your carry on light and your look right, please share!  A savvy traveler is a happy traveler.
